Portfolio Prep Class
Ages High School—24 Tuesdays June 22nd—July 20th 5pm—7pm Need a Portfolio but don’t know where to start. This is the class for even the seasoned artist. Whether you are giving your portfolio a boost or not quite sure where to begin, let artist Tracey Kelly point you in the right direction. Learn how to best represent yourself and your work. Bring examples of your work and supplies to develop new pieces. You will walk out with a checklist of things to add and improve your first impression for those colleges and scholarships. de-escalation of conflict techniques, theatre , music, arts and dance. Develop videography skills as you
create your own PSAs, write the scripts and develop characters through improvisation. Work with conflict
resolution specialist , Michele Ennis-Benn on tools to manage conflict effectively. Learn to apply the new
skills you learn. End the week with a performance,. as well as, see your PSAs on PAC 14. Fee: $149 Member $159 Non-Member

Technical Aspects of the Stage
Ages 12—25 July 19th—23th 10am—4pm Learn how to design and create set pieces for the stage. Students will work on the set pieces for “Everything’s Groovy” musical. Learn how to design the pieces for the performance space, paint and decorate the pieces and see them on stage in an actual performance. Learn how to stage manage and run basic sound and lights. Fee: $149 members $159 non-members

Tribal Dance Camp August 9-13
(noon-4pm) Includes yoga, fun drills, dance moves, group activities, intro to henna art, recognizing Middle Eastern rhythms, hoop dancing, and study/history of tribal belly dance. Bring a water bottle daily, snacks are provided. Wear fitness type stretchy pants or shorts and a fitted tank top or tee. Bring a yoga mat or large towel. Coin belts will be provided. Dancewear package including a choli top, zills, hip scarf, bindis, and hair flowers is available for an additional $50. Class taught by Rose “Roma” MacGregor, director of Nomadic Magic Tribal Dance Company.

General Theatre
Ages 8—12 JUNE 21st—25th 1pm — 5pm This workshop will focus on a variety of theatre genres, from traditional scene work, reader's theatre, theatre
games to improvisation as well as an in-depth exploration of various techniques and exercises used in
character development. The students will learn to develop their characters and cooperate with fellow actors in
mini-scenes as well as work on and prepare contrasting monologues. The session will conclude with a
performance of the week’s work. Fee: $129 member $139 non-member _________________________________________________________________________________________________
Acting Classes
Ages 6 and up Individual classes focusing on projection, diction, character development, and monologues. All class sessions (10 weeks) will conclude with a performance night. Students will study Acting by developing, communicating, and sustaining characters in improvisations and informal or formal productions. Specifically: Students analyze the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of characters found in dramatic texts from various genres and media Students compare and demonstrate various classical and contemporary acting techniques and methods. This class meets parts 1 & 2 of the National Standards for Arts Education – Theatre Content Standard 2 Time: Scheduled on a per student basis. Call to schedule. Fee: $25 per 45 minute session. As we hold this time for your student there will be a $5 fee for re-scheduled classes and the $25 fee will be charged in the case of missed classes. Maximum of 2 students per session. (Having two students in a session allows the option of working on some scene work, while still maintaining individual attention.)

Ages 10—16 July 6th—9th 9am—12pm Mystery theatre KCYP style encourages creativity as it has students write a script. And gets the audience involved. The students learn not only traditional acting skills, but skills in improvisation. The workshop students will create their own script and bring their characters to life with an interactive aspect. Everything’s groovy! So join Travis, Muriel and Alice on their hip journey to bring together Music, beads and Flowers Celebration. The Lemon Bugs , a popular singing group, loves the idea. So hop on a bus and meet the sixties generation down on the farm. This is a main stage production. Auditions will come from within the workshop.
